Sleep at last!

	Thank you DermaTherapy

Colbert Cycles has been lucky enough to get its hands on some 'new to the cycling world' kit to help aid sleep after those hard training sessions or during the hot summer nights.

If, like me, you suffer from high body temperatures during the night due to your metabolism running riot after a training session or simply suffer from night sweats / hot flushes, then you too need to take a look at DermaTherapy!

	www.dermatherapybedding.co.uk

One swift phone call to their office at around 12pm on a Friday and hey presto, a package of sheets + 2 pillow cases arrived the very next morning! My wife and I proudly became parents for the first time in February 2011 and I'd be the first to admit, sleep has been thin on the ground!! This added to a pretty hectic lifestyle in Motorsport along side trying to pedal a bike around in some races, meant I was really struggling with the recovery part...........sleep!

The idea behind the bedding is simple, to keep your body at a stable temperature and wick away any moisture that may result from sweating. We as cyclists use the word wicking on a weekly basis when discussing our team kit, winter riding kit etc...........so why not use in on a bed? It was a no brainer for me, with the fact that I was only going to be able to grab 4 to 5 hours sleep a night, I needed it to be deep, recovering sleep.

I can honestly say, a week into sleeping on the sheet and pillow case, I'm never going to be without it again! It's coming with me when I travel too. A massive thank you to Gerard Grey (personal fitness coach) for mentioning this product and an even bigger thank you to Jo at DermaTherapy for bringing a bit of quality sleep into our lives again.

The new 2012 range of bikes from Colbert Cycles is here! With Matt finish being the new gloss, the frames are all Matt and faster because of it............yes Matt paint is faster, didn't you know??

First up is the new road frame, features include Press Fit 30 BB / full internal cable routing for all brake and gear cables PLUS the frame is now also Di2 / Ui2 compatable! Yes, you can run traditional cables or internal wiring on the same frame, no need to change frame again! We have beafed up the rear end with oversized chain stays and massive seat stays all making it one of the most responsive rides on the market. That end of stage sprint now suits you down to the ground! All this in a frame weighing in at 985g for a size 56cm.

The new TT range is again Press Fit 30 BB / full internal cable routing and Di2 compatable. It's seen here in its Integrated Seatpost mode but is also available in standard Seatpost. The usual work has gone into the stiffness around the BB area but now with increased airflow around the BB and integrated fork we have cleaned up the wind turbulence and made your cruising speed that bit higher! A medium frame comes in at 1430g.

The new alloy track frame has been in our pipeline for a while now and it's finally here. We have kept the Seatpost in standard 27.2mm and the head tube in 1-1/8 as this frame is way stiff and positive enough already. The BB is standard English BSA.

Colbert Carbon 29er! Yes we have joined in on the craze, its the way to go in MTB. Full carbon frame with inner routing for all cables and brake hoses, BB30 bottom bracket to which we have gone with Rotor 3D+ and Q-Rings. Sram running gear with FOX Fit29er fork, FSA finish kit with Colbert 29er alloy wheels.

The last new edition to the family is the Colbert Run Around now in FOLDING spec at last! It's taken a while but it's ready to go and has gone to quite a few already. Finished in 3k weave and with carbon frame, bars,Seatpost it's pretty high end. Weighing in at 7.4kg it's not heavy and folds down into a very nice package, even fits under the office desk I'm told!

Photoshoot pics and more detail to follow soon!!

I am pleased to reveal the new identity for Colbert Cycles. Without going into too many details the identity is all based around being lightweight, whether that be the way in which my bikes are photographed or the way you navigate this website. I will be slowly introducing the identity across my range so keep coming back for updates.
